Congratulations to Dr. Amber Young, who successfully defended her PhD in Biostatistics on June 26, 2026! Amber’s dissertation, co-mentored by Drs. Naim Rashid and Didong Li, developed DeSurv, a survival-guided matrix factorization framework for discovering replicable prognostic gene programs in pancreatic cancer. She has started as a Biostatistician at Natera. We are thrilled for her next chapter!
